About Gerontology

A program that focuses on the human aging process and aged human populations, using the knowledge and methodologies of the social sciences, psychology and the biological and health sciences.

For all the 160 degrees awarded in Gerontology per year, the majority of them are Bachelors degree. Out of the 160 students graduating with degrees at the Bachelors degree level across the US, 93% percent identify as women and 8% percent identify as men. Though students at schools all over the US study Gerontology, California has the most graduates. The average starting salary for a graduate with a bachelor's degree in Gerontology is $47,533.
