About Public Administration

Public Administration programs prepare individuals to serve as managers in the executive arm of local, state, and federal government and that focuses on the systematic study of executive organization and management. Includes instruction in the roles, development, and principles of public administration; the management of public policy; executive-legislative relations; public budgetary processes and financial management; administrative law; public personnel management; professional ethics; and research methods.

For all the 2,562 degrees granted in Public Administration annually, the majority of them are Masters degree. Out of the 2,562 students graduating with degrees at the Bachelors degree level in the US, 47% percent identify as men and 53% percent identify as women. Though students at schools all over the US study Public Administration, Indiana has the most graduates.
