ACT WorkKeys is a unique skill assessment system. It measures various job-related foundational and soft skills, crucial to success in the workplace.
Students and job-seekers, as well as experienced professionals, can use the ACT WorkKeys test to assess their own skills and get a better understanding of their strengths and weaknesses. They can then use this understanding to better prepare for the upcoming exams or their upcoming job interviews.
Employers also use the ACT WorkKeys test scores to take the guesswork out of determining employee qualifications and to appoint, train, and retain a high-quality workforce.
How ACT WorkKeys Works
Each WorkKeys assessment has varying levels of difficulty. Every level builds on the previous one, incorporating skills previously reviewed at the past levels. For example, to successfully answer Level 5, you would need the skills from the earlier 4 Levels.
The ACT scores the tests by adding the number of questions test-takers answered correctly. There is no penalty for wrong answers.
For every Foundational Skill test that an individual takes, they receive a scale score. This score determines skill growth over a period of time. It is often used by employers for hiring employees and also to determine eligibility for promotion.
