Experts on College Affordability Release 2020’s Best Colleges Rankings
Find out who made the top U.S. and regional rankings and which colleges received honors on Raptor’s new ROI-focused lists.
College Raptor, the most accurate search site for estimating the true cost of college, released their 2020 Best Colleges Rankings. Millions of families use CollegeRaptor.com each year, and the public trusts Raptor’s rankings to be a great entry point for discovering their personalized cost and fit at each school.
For the fifth straight year, College Raptor has crowned Princeton University as the best college in the U.S. Other institutions featured as the best in their regions include Duke University in the Southeast, the University of Chicago in the Midwest, and the California Institute of Technology in the Southwest.
In addition to College Raptor’s overall Best Colleges, the company added new lists that highlight schools that are affordable, retain and support their students, and get them to graduation on time. New this year are rankings for “Best Colleges With an Average Net Price Under $15K,” “Best Colleges Without Application Fees,” “Best Test Optional Colleges,” and “Best Colleges With the Highest Acceptance Rates.”
College Raptor believes that ranking institutions is important, but a college’s rank isn’t the only factor a family should consider. That’s why CollegeRaptor.com has developed advanced AI algorithms that use a holistic approach to calculate personalized match scores at any U.S. institution based on personal preferences, academic scores, and a family’s financial situation.
“Academic caliber, graduation rates, expected starting salary, and countless other factors are a lot to consider when weighing college options. Our rankings are designed to highlight the best schools in different categories to help families get started in the discovery process,” said Bill Staib, College Raptor’s CEO. “But, we also encourage students to go beyond rankings and use intelligent platforms like CollegeRaptor.com that incorporate ROI into their college decisions.”
