Simpson Strong-Tie Academic Scholarship

Award: $2,000

Deadline: March 13, 2020

The scholarship targets students who want to build safer buildings for communities. Simpson Strong-Tie, Inc, will award up to 68 students $2,000 each. The applicants must submit an essay, along with a current transcript. Additionally, students must be entering their junior or senior year at one of the listed universities/colleges.

AIA/Architects Foundation Diversity Advancement Scholarship

Award: $4,000 (renewable)

Deadline: TBD for 2021-2022

Coming from an underrepresented background can feel as if you have no assistance on the way to achieve your dreams. This scholarship hopes to change this. The Diversity Advancement Scholarship is available to those rising architecture students who are members of minority racial or ethnic groups. Applicants need a GPA of 3.0 or higher, must be a U.S, citizen, and a 1st or 2nd-year student at a NAAB-accredited architecture program.

Vectorworks Design Scholarship

Award: $3,000

Deadline: TBD for 2020

This scholarship targets students with an eye for aesthetics. The scholarship is for any design students, be they architecture, landscape, entertainment, or interior design. Applicants submit their applications (all elements) electronically, as physical copies will not be considered. The applicants who earn the Vectorworks Design Scholarship will advance to compete for the Richard Diehl Design Award, which is an additional $7,000 and networking opportunity.

Galvanize the Future Scholarship

Award: $2,500

Deadline: March 31, 2020

Applicants must fill out the form and attach an essay of 1,000-2,000 words answering one of two provided questions. Any full- or part-time undergraduate or graduate students pursuing degrees in architecture, civil engineering, structural engineering, or other related fields may apply. Two awards are given annually.
