Horatio Alger Wyoming Scholarship Program
Amount: $10,000
Deadline: August 1 to October 25
For students in critical financial need, this program offers funding for five years at undergraduate schools. It was designed to aid those who have a strong interest to receive a quality education and who have overcome challenges or hardships.
To be eligible, students must: be a resident of Wyoming, be a high school senior on track for graduation, demonstrate critical financial need as outlined on their site, and also maintain a GPA of 2.0 or higher.
Rocky Mountain Regional Council Scholarship
Amount: $500
Deadline: TBD for 2021-2022
This scholarship is available to any resident of the Rocky Mountain region: Colorado, Idaho, Montana, New Mexico, Utah, or Wyoming. The organization offers the scholarship every year, and though non-renewable, prior winners can apply to it again.
Requirements: must be a high school senior, undergraduate, or graduate student, must be a resident of one of the aforementioned states, maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher, as well as a $5 application fee.
Douvas Memorial Scholarship
Amount: $500
Deadline: April 30, 2020
A Greek immigrant founded the Douvas Memorial Scholarship to award first-generation American students aid going towards their education. A first-generation American is someone born in American, though their parents were not. The organization offers two awards each year.
To be eligible, students must: be a high school senior or 18-22 years old, be a resident of Wyoming, plan to attend a Wyoming school listed on their site, and also be a resident of the United States of America.
ARRL Rocky Mountain Division Scholarship
Amount: $500
Deadline: TBD for 2021
Interested in a career in radio broadcasting? If so, check out this unique scholarship. The organization offers a monetary award that can go towards a college education. The winner will also receive a yearlong membership into the American Radio Relay League. The student must possess an active amateur radio license in any class.
To apply, a student must: be a graduating high school senior or current undergraduate student, be a US citizen, be a resident of Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, or Wyoming, and also have an active amateur radio license.
