Award Amount: $1,500

Deadline: August 1

If you are a high school senior, undergraduate, or graduate student who is pursuing a career in a health or fitness-related field, you could receive $1,500 to use for the fall semester of 2024. To apply, you must answer three essay questions describing your outstanding achievement, participation, and leadership in school activities and work experience, as well as a hypothetical question that asks you to imagine a scenario where you are tasked with developing a new public policy to address significant health issues like diabetes, heart disease, and obesity.

2. IC-Spares Scholarship

Award Amount: $1,000

Deadline: August 1

Do you have a passion for technology? The IC-Spares scholarship awards $1,000 to the best essay (500-800 words) answering the following prompt: “What emerging technologies most excite you, and how do you foresee the general public adopting the technology?” Applicants must be at least 18 years old and demonstrate a strong commitment to community service or volunteer work.

3. ConfidentWriters.com Scholarship Essay

Award Amount: $700

Deadline: August 8

Showcase your writing skills by applying for the ConfidentWriters.com scholarship! Essays must be between 500-700 words with submissions emailed as a Microsoft Word attachment. Topics to write about include vocabulary expansion’s role in essay quality, predicting future educational technology, and maintaining originality in essays.

4. Herbert Law Office

Award Amount: $1,000

Deadline: August 15

The Herbert Law Office Scholarship Contest is awarding $1,000 to the U.S. college student who creates the best one to two-minute video (or if you prefer writing, a 1,000-1,500 word essay) explaining why they want to be a lawyer. Herbert Law’s goal is to help provide financial aid and encourage students to understand their personal motivation for a career in the legal field.

5. Race to Inspire Scholarship

Award Amount: $500

Deadline: August 15

On your mark, get set, and apply for the Race to Inspire essay contest. Race Entry, an online race registration company, is awarding $500 to the winner. Everyone has different reasons for running, now is your time to share yours. To apply, detail what inspired you to run, what challenges you faced, and what you learned through the experience in a 1,000 to 2,000 word essay.

6. Mrs Prindables Future Educator Scholarship

Award Amount: $1,000

Deadline: August 18

Are you majoring in education or aspire to teach in the future? Mrs Prindables, a gourmet apple company, recognizes the importance of educators and their impact and wants to support you financially. You can win $1,000 by submitting a 500-character essay describing what you can offer to future students.

7. Perfect Plants Scholarship

Award Amount: $1,000

Deadline: August 20

Perfect Plants is a family-owned nursery that values education in horticulture. Eligible applicants include incoming freshmen to seniors enrolled in full or part-time courses pursuing horticultural careers. To apply, students must submit an online application, transcript, two recommendation letters, and a 500-1,000 word essay from one of the chosen prompts.

If you’re enrolled in any accredited post-secondary or continuing education program, this opportunity is for you.
