Koknat Family Undergraduate Scholarship In Chemistry
This scholarship, established in 2015 by Dr. Friedrich W. and Mrs. Eva-Maria Koknat, is to provide financial assistance to undergraduate students majoring in chemistry at Youngstown State University. First-time applicants can be an incoming freshman or sophomore. Recipients must have a high school diploma, including a year of high school chemistry, with a 3.2 GPA from a public or parochial school from Columbiana, Mahoning, and Trumbull counties in Ohio and Lawrence and Mercer counties in Pennsylvania. A lower GPA may be acceptable if the applicant took calculus or physics in high school. Completed FAFSA is required. Scholarship Amount: $1000 Deadline Date: February 1 Renewable: Through the application and selection process. Must maintain a 3.0 GPA and take at least one chemistry course per semester and during your first three years, at least one calculus, physics or physical chemistry course per semester.
