Harvard University

Harvard is one of the leading universities for graduation rates in the United States. 86% of students graduate within four years, 97% within six years, and 98% within eight years. It also has a very high retention rate for first year students at 98%. The university has 2,400 faculty members and 10,400 academic appointments at their teaching hospitals. This is about an 8 to 1 student to faculty ratio. Harvard offers various programs including ROTC Air Force, ROTC Army, ROTC Navy, study abroad, distance education, teacher certification, and weekend/evening classes. There are also over 400 official student groups on campus. A majority of the students who attend Harvard are, of course, from Massachusetts, but other popular states are New York, Florida, Texas, California, and New Jersey. Most applicants are White, Hispanic, or Asian and the popular ages for attendance are 18-24.
