The Curtis Institute of Music has a very high first year retention rate with 100%% deciding to stay after completing their freshman year. 29% will go on to graduate within four years, 93% within six. Gifted students come from all over the country to attend the institute.
With such a small class size, the student to faculty ratio is 2 to 1, one of the highest in the country. All 90 faculty members are gifted musicians themselves, where they connect students with the lives of a professional musician. Instructors are highly credentialed in musical studies, liberal arts, and career studies. Curtis also regularly plays hosts to world-renowned artists to further a student’s education and experience.
