As with all schools throughout the country, the Curtis Institute of Music is required to provide a yearly Security and Fire Safety Report, including crime statistics, security policies, and procedures. The Philadelphia Police Department, City of Philadelphia Department of Public Safety, the Philadelphia Fire Department, and other organizations all work together to keep Curtis safe.

All students are required to carry a school issued photo ID, which can also be used for dining plans. Freshman will attend a public safety overview at orientation featured by the police department and AlliedBarton Security Services.
